About me

With a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Neuroscience from the Kavli Institute, NTNU, I previously worked as a research assistant at the University of Oslo, Center for Lifespan Changes in Brain and Cognition.
I have always had a passion for writing, language, and communication. In 2024, I decided to pursue a path diverging slightly from the traditional academic career, starting up as a freelancer in language services.
Since then, I have helped a wide range of clients with everything from book manuscripts and website articles to grant proposals, content marketing, and user manuals. My clients range from authors who want to self-publish to companies seeking assistance with proofreading, editing, beta reading, and translation.
Through international platforms such as Upwork and LinkedIn, I work mainly with English content. One of my long-term clients is the Canadian applied behavioural science firm The Decision Lab, for whom I edit website articles on a regular basis. I have also contributed as editor on several published self-help books. As a Norwegian with native-level English proficiency, I have taken part in several large-scale translation projects for international language service companies, such as Kuicko, in addition to a variety of translation, MTPE, and linguistic evaluation assignments. While my client base is mostly English-speaking, I also have Norwegian and Scandinavian projects in my portfolio, including books.
I specialise in non-fiction and popular science, especially self-help and psychology-related topics, but I am always open to new projects—regardless of genre!
